Rwanda Halal Certification was established to help ensure that all Muslims could be confident that the meat and products they consume is ‘genuinely Halal’. Rwanda Halal Certification is an independent private, registered body which monitors, inspects and certifies Halal products for the benefit of the Muslim community. RHC is comprised of Muslim food scientists with different qualifications which include PhD, Masters, and bachelor’s degrees. RHC workforce also includes Islamic Scholars with Qualifications ranging from PhD to Bachelor’s Degrees in Islamic


  • Rwanda Halal Certification aims to develop the Halal products standards controlled by Shariah department and the Muslim association in Rwanda.
  • To develop the accreditation process and procedures for Halal products standard of Rwanda as the sole standard
  • To coordinate and cooperate with concerned bodies in both the public and private sectors to develop Halal products of Rwanda to meet the requirements of Halal products standards as well as coordinate with international Halal bodies and accredited Halal certifying organizations globally.
